Apple baru saja mengumumkan peluncuran iPad 2 yang merupakan generasi penerus dari ipad yang menjadi salah satu penguasa di tablet pc di dunia dengan menguasai 90% pasar tablet, Harga ipad 2 di Indonesia belum bisa kita ketahui akan tetapi jika kita melihat dari situs online shop yang menyediakan penjualan gadged terbaru besutan apple ini diperkirakan di jual dengan harga sekitar USD 499.
Seperti halnya dengan berita sebelumnya iPad 2 mempunyai bentuk lebih kecil jika kita bandingankan dengan iPad generasi sebelumnya. iPad 2 mempunyai ketebalan 8,8 milimeter, iPad 2 bukan hanya lebih tipis ketimbang iPad (13,44mm), akan tetapi juga lebih tipis dari iPhone 4 (9,3mm).
iPad 2 Menggunakan prosesor Apple A5 dual-core 1GHz, dan katanya memiliki performa dua kali lebih cepat ketimbang prosesor sebelumnya, Apple A4 single-core 1GHz. Dengan layar LCD 9,7 inci dengan resolusi 1024×768 pixel, iPad 2 juga lebih ringan (1,3 pon) dibandingkan sebelumnya (1,5 pon).
Selain itu Apple juga memberikan kamera di bagian depan tablet serta built-in gyroscope. Sementara sistem operasi iPad 2 sudah diupgrade menjadi iOS 4.3, yang menawarkan performa javascript lebih baik melalui browser Safari-nya.
Dalam peluncurannya ditawarkan ada enam model untuk iPad 2, dengan harga hampir sama seperti iPad. Kita tunggu saja Harga Ipad 2 di Indonesia, lebih mahal atau malah lebih murah, kita lihat saja nanti kehadiran generasi terbaru dari iPad ini ke tanah air.

Masalah bentuk, Apple IPAD 2 jauh lebih ringan, dan lebih tipis, tetapi performanya jauh lebih baik dibanding generasi pertama. Layar masih tetap menggunakan ukuran 7,9 inch, namun dilindungi smart cover dengan bahan terbuat dari polyurethan.
